As Lead Commercial Strategy you are the right hand and sparring partner of the Head of Commercial Strategy and the broader management team. In realising the key strategic challenges/opportunities and professionalisation that is necessary due to the rapid growth of the organisation and to give impetus to further future growth. You bring the company to a higher level by ensuring execution power on various strategic and especially commercial projects. You know how to ask the right questions and to identify problems. At the same time, you bring potential directions of thinking as well as solutions and you are the link between different departments and external stakeholders.

Today Otrium operates out of a vibrant office in the Houthavens of Amsterdam, where we make a huge impact on one of e-commerce's fastest-growing categories.


  • Participate in the strategic agenda of the company by developing plans for and supporting or taking the lead in various strategic projects, such as path to profitability;

  • Project-manage multiple workflows and communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbal, in a clear and easy-to-understand way

  • Take the lead and drive cross department actions in A/B tested fashion: redefining Made-for-Outlet by using data to enable brands to reproduce most-wanted items and minimise waste;

  • Provide substantial support in preparations for board meetings and funding rounds.


  • 4-6 Years of strategy experience focused on sales strategy, business strategy or consulting;

  • Background e.g. in top-tier strategy consulting, Private Equity or Investment Banking;

  • Relevant Master’s degree (e.g. Economics, Business);

  • Experience with e-commerce is a plus;

  • Experience in telling compelling data driven narratives;

  • Startup/scale up experience is preferred.


  • Strong analytical skills: identifies connections in data and trends and generates insights;

  • Strong interpersonal skills in all communication: recognises the role of different stakeholders and tailors communication, messages and style accordingly to build engagement at all levels of the organisation;

  • Ability to evaluate and prioritise rapidly and deliver results against aggressive deadlines, as a team leader and/or as an individual contributor;

  • You are innovative, creative and have a strong commercial sense;
